Senior System Engineer with a Focus on Datacenter, Network & Firewall (m/f/d)

in Frauenfeld, Zürich, Bern or Basel


With your expertise, you will...

  • design, implement, deploy, and operate complex system and infrastructure environments
  • work hands-on in our data center, from server cabling to the installation of network components
  • take responsibility for network and server systems including virtualization (e.g. VMware / vSphere / Kubernetes) as well as SAN/NAS components
  • actively contribute your knowledge to architecture and technology decisions
  • support and operate the network infrastructure in the itesys data centers (Fortinet / Arista)
  • ensure that our environment remains stable and secure


You achieve this through...

  • completed vocational training or a degree in the field of IT
  • several years of experience as a Datacenter Engineer, Network Engineer, or in a comparable role – ideally 7+ years
  • experience in the operational management of data center infrastructures, preferably Fortinet and Arista
  • solid knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, and Kubernetes
  • experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) and concepts such as landing zones and bastion hosts
  • routine use of deployment and automation tools
  • strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as an independent and structured working style
  • very good German and English skills, as well as a valid Class B driver’s license
  • Relevant certifications are not required, but are an advantage
