Senior System Engineer with a Focus on Linux & Automation (m/f/d)

in Frauenfeld


With your knowledge...

  • you will continue to operate and develop our Linux system environments in our data centers and at our customers’ sites
  • you will automate and standardize our infrastructure using technologies such as Salt and OpenTofu
  • you will handle patch management and ensure the stable and secure operation of our systems
  • you will independently plan and implement projects in the areas of data centers, automation, and the cloud
  • you will analyze and resolve disruptions and system failures, and get to the root cause of these issues in a sustainable manner
  • you will take responsibility for our systems and actively contribute your knowledge to the team
  • you will continue to operate and develop container platforms and container orchestration systems, ensuring the reliable and scalable operation of containerized workloads

You achieve this through...

  • several years of experience with Linux system environments, ideally with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
  • experience with automation technologies - knowledge of Salt and OpenTofu is a plus
  • knowledge of storage and backup environments, such as NetApp, SnapCenter, or Bacula
  • experience in patch management and troubleshooting
  • experience with container technologies and container orchestration solutions such as SUSE Rancher, Kubernetes, or similar is a plus
  • basic familiarity with firewalls and IT security
  • a completed IT-related education and a passion for continuing your technical development
  • an independent and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as very good German and English skills
