Senior System Engineer with a Focus on Storage & Backup (m/f/d)

in Frauenfeld


With your expertise, you will...

  • design, implement, deploy, and operate complex system and infrastructure environments
  • work hands-on in our data center, from server cabling and installation of SAN components to tape libraries
  • plan, operate, and optimize high-performance storage infrastructures (NetApp / Pure Storage)
  • take responsibility for storage systems including backup (e.g. S3 / NFS / snapshots / NDMP / SnapLock / replication)
  • plan and implement infrastructure and platform projects and support rollouts, migrations, and updates
  • actively contribute your knowledge to architecture and technology decisions
  • actively help secure our environment

You achieve this through...

  • a completed vocational training or degree in the field of IT
  • several years of experience as a Storage Engineer, Backup Engineer, or in a comparable role – ideally 7+ years
  • solid experience in the operational management of storage infrastructures, preferably NetApp / Pure Storage / NDMP
  • advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM
  • strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as an independent and structured working style
  • very good German and English skills, and a valid Class B driver’s license
  • relevant certifications are not required, but are an advantage
